hi everyone.
i have a brake pressure residual valve on my bronco, and I am wondering what will happen if I pull my brake calipers off.

i know if you pull off your calipers, and unhook your brake line you can force the piston out of the caliper with air pressure from an air compressor.

my question is will the pressure in the brake lines cause the caliper pistons to blow out of the caliper when i pull them off the rotors?

should i crack a brake line fitting to make sure this doesn't happen?

thanks for any help.

I don’t think so because they are only 2LB valves. My calipers didn’t blow apart when I took them off of my car.

You'll be fine. A few cars came with them from the factory and don't have issues during disassembly. You should definitely open a bleeder when pushing the piston back into the caliper.
