listing ends in a day so it would be nice to know soon,
will this bender bend 2" .120 (or is it .130?)wall DOM tubing?
and what exact die would i need for that tubing, they lost me with all the numbers and stuff

Used benders turn up every once and a while but unless you find someone with the correct diameter/bend radius die(s) you want included in the deal you'll have to buy some new ones. The manual mechanical benders are great if you don't mind a little effort, we built our whole car with one with great results! Keep in mind you'll need a stand to provide mounting provisions and a long handle.

I have a Protools 105, for occasional bending needs its more than ok. How often are you going to use it? If you only do it as a hobby a Protools 105 is more than ok and you can even convert it to hydro easily.
here is mine with my little helper:

it will build us a complete cage for our 71 f250 out of 2" DOM material.

Ryan, $295 is the standard price for the JD2 model 3 bender. I have JD2 set up similar to Gustavo but if I had to do it all over again I would go with the Protools 105. I have had issues with the follower dies falling apart and JD2 customer service is not the best.
I would go to www.offroadfabnet.com and talk to Keith who is a Protools dealer. I have seen abused tubing run thru a Protools dies with zero issues. You will also find tons of good info on off road fab net.
If you want to go with the JD2 model 3 then I would talk to these guys since they are in Lincoln, Ca. http://kckmmotorsports.com/index.html . This would at least eliminate shipping cost.

If you go with a Pro-Tools also check with Dave at Threat Motorsports, he is a distributor, usually sells them cheaper than everyone else. He is 87-Ranger on DezertRangers, I don't remember if he uses the same name here.
Infidel, is your bender on an engine stand? That's pretty clever.

Yep, I got the idea from Offroadfabnet.com tons of valuable info and ideas. I would love to brag about that being my idea, but its not....I plagiarize it :D Pretty sturdy , handy , mobile and cheap ($50 at Autozone)

that engine stand bender is sweet!
ive decided im going to be using another member's bender for building the cage so i dont have to spend the $650, instead ill be paying much less
thanks for the info though :)
