View Full Version : Brake Line Fabrication T100 Rear Diff

Doing deavers on rear of 95 pickup. decided to mount shocks outside frame rails and use a T100 rear diff. I now have the suspension set up and am on to the problem of brakes. The solid brake line that came with the T100 Diff doesnt match up to the contour of new suspensin set up do to relocation of the Leaf mounting plane to match up with frame rail width. Looking into making new solid brake line or just running completly braided.
What size brake line is used on stock toyota? What is the pitch of the flare on the brake line? where can i get brake line the right size? What you think is the cheapest way to go about it?

I can't remember the size but you should be able to get the hard line at a parts store like Napa. It uses metric fittings. I would stay away from using to much braided line. I have allot of it on my truck and when I change out the rear end with a new one I just got I will be putting in as much hard line as possible. The brake pedal is really soft and I know people that changed back to mostly hard line and it fixed the problem.

The Toys calipers may use a "ISO Bubble" type flare...There might me an adapter to go from ISO to standard AN, which is a 37deg flare. Standard automotive inverted flare is 45 degs.

any ideas on couse of action for fabricating a brake line to fit this axel set up. Where can i get the correct flaring tool, brake line bender brake line and adapters?

Bonaco Inc. Upland,( Tom or Brett ) CA , G & J Aircraft ( Cliff or George ) Ontario,CA, Mesa Hose ( Brooks ) Costa Mesa, CA These 3 will help you out but standard brake lines are 3/16 or -3 .

try Bonaco first, very knowlwedgable staff and they NEVER use Chinese parts like the other guys!!

Brooks over at Mesa Hose helped me with the T100 I built, we did a 9" conversion on it though so I can't help you with the brake line ends, as far as the lines I just got one if the brake line bending tools and some hard line from the auto parts store and bent it the way I needed it.
My question is how are you fitting the shocks on the outside of the frame on the T100? With all 3 of mine with 33" tires they would rub the wheel well at full articulation, you might want to make sure your not going to destroy your shocks when the axle articulates.
