This is shaping up to be a great race this year. With Honda A, B, and 'C', Childress, Penhall....etc, 1st place might be all but a lock for 1x, but a spot on the podium is going to be well earned.
The Solo designations are out on the SCORE website now too. Not as many Solo efforts as I would have thought with such a short course.

Steve decided to go his own way, and did not sign a contract with JCR as the rest of the "Honda boys" did. I really haven't heard too much about what Steve has been up to lately!~ If anyone has any updates, I am sure many would appreciate them! Last I heard he was trying to decide whether he should move to the Flagstaff area or stay up in Oak Hills...

Nice to see Tim Morton (aka: Bajaboundmoto) get a ride with Johnny and the boys, congrats man! But hey Tim, shouldn't you be in like class 30 or something?? Or, are you the designated old geezer looking out for the kids? BTW, how hard is it to ride a bike set up for Timmy Wiegand, isn't he like knee high to a tadpole?

Tim was DOR for the Honda 'B' team in the 1000 last year and finished right behind 1x. The old geezer watching out for the kids thing worked last year so why mess with a good thing?
If you can find the youtube video of his interview at the finish is actually pretty moving. He talks about how he's older and Honda still wanted him to race and he felt really fortunate etc etc. Very cool.

Didn't he ride with Childress in the San Felipe 250 too? Maybe that's who Childress is riding with.

Roger that. I've yet to meet Tim but he seems like a class act. Oh yeah, it seems as though he can ride too!

"Morto" is as comfortable on a bike in Baja as I am on my couch! He's very experienced at night as well. Ronny Wilson is dangerous on a bike also. Looks like Honda has all the bases covered.

Yeah, I think the betting odds are on Honda again.

i bought my bike from steves dad as he has a honda dealer in Flagstaff and picked it up from henges house in oak hills. Hopefully something gets worked out for Steve. he is an awesome guy and his dads rad to and they were not out sqeeze your last cent from you when buying a new bike. Ill be doing business with them again in a year or 2 for another new bike.

If I remember right, isn't Jade part of your group? If so how's he recovering from his battle at the enduro? I was one of the sweep riders that found him. He looked like he'd had better days!!! Actually he looked more like the morning after a binge session in Vegas hungover!!! Gotta love dehydration!
Tell him when he wants to see the rest of the B loop to get in touch with me and I'll take him on the loop!!!

Yeah, poor JD. I told him he'd be stoked to finish B loop. Now he understands!
He said he was 100% physically spent and dehydrated.
I'm not so sure you have enough days available to get him thru the B loop!;)

LOL, yeah I think a lot of people under estimate the technical single track type of racing and how much it drains you!
I had to ride the B loop twice on race day. Staying up till midnight drinking the night before was really really dumb and I knew that ahead of time!!! LOL Let's just say the afternoon sweep ride went MUCH smoother then the crack of dawn prerun to check the coarse markers!!! LOL
