I know it has probably been discussed in threads but does anyone know of a website with some trick aircraft parts. Im looking for a hinge for a glovebox on the alum. dash were building. It needs to be hidden when its closed and when it opens it needs to come out and down. If anyone knows of a aircraft parts website or has any suggestions let me know.
Thanx

You don't need a trick hinge for that, just some engineering skills! With a couple bent aluminum strips and a regular piano hinge you can do it.

Southco has many options and usually have what you are looking for. sometimes if you ask for an engineering sample they will give you one.

A lot of metal supply companies carry the hinge material. It comes in like 4 or 5 foot sticks. Then all you have to do is tack it or weld it to whatever you want.

thanks for the sugg.!!! We ended up going to Lowes and found some cabinet hinges that worked perfect. It opens away/ down so door doesnt hit the bottom of the dash. Here's how we did it:
