5th Annual Baja Cup Off Road
December 13th, 2008
Baja is back at Glen Helen Raceway!
The Baja Cup Challenge will include off-road truck & buggies. The 3+ mile long course with all types of natural terrain is layed-out for desert cars to get to speed! Participants will race the perimeter of Glen Helen, giving the spectators an awesome view of the race.
Classes include:
Class 1
Class 1/1600
Class 5 (yes 5-1600 are allowed and sportsman buggy)
Class 7
Class 7s
Class 8
Class 10
There will be Open practice the morning of Saturday & Races will be 2 Hours long.
Camping is free & gate fees are $15 per Adult, $5 per Junior(6-12yrs), Kid 5 & under Free.
Race Fees are $300 Pre-Entry and $350 Post-Entry.

All classes are available. Lets see if we can get a class 9 race going if we are not too beat up after Toys for Tots.

So far this is all i have:


1st race*
Ivan Stewart's "Baja Protrucks"
10am-12pm

2nd race*
1/2 1600, pilots, TT, Class 1,
Class 8, Class 10, all other classes
1pm-3pm

3rd race*- schedule to to be announced
Rhinos Side by Side/ Trophy Karts
3:30pm-4pm

* races 1&2 are 2 hours each and 2 pit stops
are required with minimum of 1 tire change each


what's with the required pit stops/tire change? What constitutes a pit stop?


for the pit stops you need to come in and do a "simulated" tire change. witch means you take off one tire let it hit the ground and then put it back on


The tire change throws an element of strategy into the racing and gives families and friends something to do. I would be suprised to hear that your family wouldn't know how to change a tire. I know everyone one of my family members is capable of doing so. In general, this proabably isn't the right event for someone if they are unwilling to get out of the car to change a tire.
