where can i find parts for solidworks other than making them myself? i have some the parts but they are my other computer which is in california. Looking for 39 inch bfg tires and rims. Also how do put parts on another drawing? i use the assembly mode but i never can get the parts aligned right.

Create new assembly, then go to Insert, existing component-choose your part you wish to import, click ok. Then use Mates to align the parts the way you wish. Do some research on the web about mates-they can be tricky. I suggest the Solidworks Bible by Matt Lombard. You can get it from Amazon.com for about $40.00. It is a big help.

The use of planes and the geometry will allow you to mate the parts in a fully defined fashion. Planes are crucial to a complete, correct and editable assembly. However, if you are doing dynamics analysis using CosmosMotion, plane/plane relative motion mates blow up. You have to split line parts (or use of other physical geometry) to mate the rotating members and go from there.
