Reed is still going to be #22. He was wearing #8 in honor of Grant Langston who won it last year. Langston has been out for most of the year do to an eye issue. He had tumors growing on his eye, from what I understand, and his vision has been blurry because of it.

So Reed only wore #8 for the US Open.

according to the 09 rule changes Reed must wear the number 1 plate for the 09 season. All champs must run the #1 plate the following year.
