Temecula Motorsports has been sold and no longer sponsoring teams. Not sure what Cafro is doing for the 1000. Anyone know?
Anyway, I'm betting on Matlock & Co!

WHOA! Really? They were a pretty strong force in desert racing. I say anyone running a KTM will win LOL, I wish! The JCR/Honda 1x team looks strong but their are very talented racers nipping at their heels. Pretty much one mistake and their race could be over.

I have heard that they will be able to race the 1000 for there last race. Then they are done, I could be wrong though.
What is Cafro doing for a job Temecula was his life.

I'm all for Honda but it'd nice for an underdog to beat them in open bike (as long as it's a Honda:D)

How many desert races have they all done?

Then look at the Honda teams.

My money is on Matlock, he's been on a mission this whole year. It's been great seeing him come through this year after everyone said he wasn't going to be competitive cause Pruel jumped over to Temecula.

Is there anybody in contention for even a podium finish in ANY class, moto OR quad, that ISN'T riding a Honda??? I'm not trying to make a point or anything I am just truly curious.

Team 100x, class 21 on a KTM, they won the 250 and the 500 this year
Class 22 it would be nice to see anybody other than JCR win
and for pro ATV i think Matlock wins it

Greg and Tony are defiantly a team in contention for the podium on there CAN-AM in class 25. Some one who is not on a Honda that always finishs at the top in the sportsman quad class is Mike Penland. I don't know how they do it but they almost always finish on the podium on there CAN-AM.

Here is a picture of the Arctic Cat Thundercat before VTR. It was a good test race and now the engineers over at Arctic Cat have this baby flying. It is amazing that a utility quad can run this fast in the desert.
Does any one now the top speed of the 700xx with race gearing?

Right on (lol) I sure do understand. We can get 87 mph in the dirt, We have a new rear end that will do 100 ish but it just hasn't been tested enough yet. Maybe later or do I have the nuts to ride it that fast in Baja?

Well, the XR`s are pushing 100 to 110 depending on the gearing. I would say the 700 is in the 90mph plus range

Pro quad is a toss up in my mind. Class 25, either Cafro or Matlock. Both teams are well equipped, well managed, and have awesome support from their pit crews. Matlock seems to be ready to roll since the mishap at Vegas to Reno. Im surprised he healed so fast! Im glad he did.Hats off to him for winning the AVI race this weekend. It took me a little while longer to heal up from a serious crash like that. Great job Wayne. Of course you can never count out Temecula and Cafro. News has it that this will be Temecula Motorsports last race supporting Mike Cafor and company so Im sure they want to go out with a win.
Class 24. Im going to go with Mr Craig Christy. Duncan Racing. Craig is due. This team has talent and can put the Duncan 450r over the line in the front of class 24. Can ya feel it Craig??? Lol
