How hard is it? Does year to year matter? Anyone?:D

Thats got to be the most broad question ever asked on here.
What vehicle, what year vehicle? What rear end do you want to swap in? Are you going to keep the stock suspension after the swap or alter it?
It's typically not that hard, but there are exceptions to that statement.

Ok, I would like to swap a 93, 8.8, Bronco for a 83, 8.8 bronco rearend that is not leaking. Not that complex of a question, suspension stays the same. :D

THe only issue you could run into off the top of my head is the VSS sensor. I believe that the 83 has one in the 8.8 but I am not sure. I am assuming that you have the E4OD in the 93 so you will need to have the VSS tone ringi n the 83 otherwise you wont shift worth a darn and you will lose your speedo. Other than that the swap is not difficult, put your vehicle on jackstands so your leafs are fully drooped unbolt everything (brakelines, shocks, ubolts etc and then locate the new one under and bolt up.
