Im building a 2003 F150. Im not sure about the weight on the vehicle. I believe it is 6600 lbs. It is a four door, and it a 2 wheel drive.
The score rule book (03-06) says that the minimum tubing size
allowed for this truck is 1 3/4 DOM. Is it safe to use 1 1/2 .120 wall 4130? Will i be violating rules? What does everyone else use? I might not race Score, but i do know that every race organization uses the score rule book. I just dont want to start building this thing, and at the end, I cant use it!
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

6600 is probaby the GVWR.......which is the truck and what it can carry as far as payload.

use 2" .120 chromoly for all your main cage tubes........mix in some 1.75" .120 and .095 for the rest.

Definitely go 2" for all the main tubing.

yeah, im definitely going with 2 inch .120 wall. 80 feet seem more or less right?

Score book treats 4130 and DOM the same. and anything over 4000 pounds calls for 2" .120 wall. Also, all belt mounts, and required chassis tubes integral to the cage must be the same.

80 feet for a four door, no way. 120 feet minimum for the A, B, C, overhead, dash, door, and diagonals. That's with no waste.
