I'm going to buy one of the two this week but can't decide!
The Lincoln Power Mig is about $120 more than the Miller, and it has a 115v power receptacle on it. Any other differences? Does anybody have any experience with these two welders?
Thanks,
Colin

No experience using them, just selling them. The Lincoln 255XT is kinda new... The old version is the 255C. We have all 3 units on sale. Not sure if you will find to many users of the 255XT.
We also have a new mig welding tri mix gas for both stainless are carbon steel.

I have had very good luck with my miller welders. So far all my electric miller shop welders have been trouble free.

We have had a Miller 251 on our ranch for 3 or 4 years with no problems at all.

Wow! Those are impressive photos.
How do the timers on the Miller 252 work? On the Lincoln Power Mig there are knobs for pulse timer, run-in speed, and burnback time.

Thanks Tim,
I was planning on buying a machine from Praxair in Santa Maria (I'm in San Luis Obispo). Not sure if its ok to post prices in the forums, would you mind PM'ing me with prices on the 225xt and 252?
Any other differences between the two?

I think my earlier question got buried.
How do the timers on the Miller 252 work? I only see controls for voltage and wire speed on the Miller. On the Lincoln Power Mig there are knobs for pulse timer, run-in speed, and burnback time.
Thanks,
Colin

Colin,
On the MM252 there is a flip down door with menu cards.. On one of the cards is the Timer set-up..
See attachment.
Hope this helps.. If not you may contact PJ from ECOR..

How do you actually set the timers though? Are there hidden adjustment knobs?

The timers are located with in the Volt and Amp meters. The card in the drop down door explains how to set-up the Run-in Speed, Pre and Post Flow, Burnback, Spot and Stitch Timer.
