Who's done it? I am heading down to the San Rafael Swell on Thursday afternoon for a few days of riding. 5 Miles of Hell is on the list!
I will try and take some pics of the weekend and post them up next week.
Great place to ride but it still isn't Baja!

There is a video/helmet cam footage of it on here somewhere.

I saw a video of that. It's in Utah right. Thats downright ugly stuf. It's worse looking than the "old" star trail in Colorado. It took us 5-1/2 hrs to go 7.5 miles. I was used up.
If you run it, take some more video or photos to share with us.

Just got back late last night. 3 days of incredible riding. 25 guys in our group. We usually broke up into groups of 5-6. 5 Miles of Hell is actually about 7 miles! I was 1 out 5 that finished it on Friday. There were three "outs" that guys took due to fatigue or mechanical issues. 9 miles=6 hours. In 25 years of riding it was the hardest day ever and the toughest trail I have ever been on. I will post some pics later today or Tuesday. One guy has some great helmet video that we watched with a projector on Sat. night. I will post it when I get it. That whole area is awsome. We did 5 MoH on Friday. All the color trails on Saturday and Devils Race Track on Sunday.

Those are great photos!! There are parts of Utah that look like Heaven! I just love it.
Chris and I were near there about 2.5 years ago. Spent 8 days in Utah, riding 2-up on his rally bike (a little too many times), in and around Moab, Canyonlands, Lake Powell, Arches. I rode my quad on Porcupine Rim Trail and that almost killed me. ;) I'll never forget it!

Yes, there are some places that you definately don't want to look down! I finally zip tyed my camera case to the back of my light because I was taking so many pictures and I was tired of taking off my back pack. We did a lot of riding and probably didn't even scratch the surface. The "color" trails in the Swell area were great. We stayed near an old cabin called "Swaseys Cabin" if anybody knows where that is.
Definately a ride for the hard core enthusiast! We ate at "Ray's" in Green River last night and there was an autographed poster of Henge behind the bar.
BTW-Glad to hear good things about Chris' progress. My brother-in-law was at PW in Carlsbad. Great place!
