Registration is all you need. And they almost never ask for it.

I would NOT bring your bike down. Why, a LOT more people then, the race, chasers (allways in a hurry) just not a good idea on race weekend. If you do, bring all the locks and boat anchor chains you can. Bring a copy of the bike's reg. and your fine.

Regards to the post about bringing a bike down. If you dont have to have it, dont bring it. If you do. LOCK IT UP AND LOCK IT GOOD!
I have never had any problems driving around on my bike and ATV in Baja. Have your D/L with you. Be prepared to show it at the military check point outside Ensenada. Sometimes they ask for it. Its about 50/50 there.Keep an eye on your gas mileage and "gear up" so you can cruise at a decent speed on the highways. Watch out for the 18 wheelers when they are coming in the opposite direction! Lol. Hang on!!
Obey the laws, speed limit etc... and be courteous. Dont blast through neighborhoods. Lots of kids and animals etc...

the last time I got stopped N. of San Felipe for " looking too cool" I guess, they took my ID and said to come pay and get it back in Mexicali. Good thing I carry an old one (plus the new one) with me down there. They can keep that one.

Ride with a pair of shorts(they have a problem with naked) Other then that, follow the basic traffic laws. But to be safe go ATGATT. Have a light on the bike and run it all the times. I noticed a lot of guys pre running driving down the highway to SF at dusk that had no lights. If I had passed a car at that point I would have made them hood ornaments...NOT GOOD:mad:
Use your brain, be prepared at all times.

Hide your gas or cross the border with your can's empty when heading south. You're not supposed to take gas down in cans.
