My brother is running 4.10s in his ranger with either 32 or 31 tires. It is not bad. I would prefer 4.56/4.88 or even 5.13 but alot depends on what your ranger is used for beside s a toy? 4.56 would be doable on the street and that motor will push some rpms but the 4.10s are good too.

Yes I run a 4.10 with 31" tires. If you are going to drive the truck on street alot I would not run more than a 4.56 w/32". If it is off-road only then I would go 4.88 ish. I would also suggest adding at least posi.

4.56 and 31's work out about perfect for a daily driver with the 2.3. 32's will be fine too. about 3,000 rpm at 75

33's then I would want 4.88's

Your truck is counting on the right gear ratio to perform with the least amount of load with the best efficiency. You just cant eyeball numbers and slap whatever gear ratio you want into a daily driver. Because It takes a toll on your whole ***** from computer to exhaust. (depending on the year) with the 5spd 2.3 and you want to run 32s you would need 410s if you want to do it right.

You cant put 4.88s in a 7.5
