A lot. And think of wha tthe high RPM's are doing to trannies as well!!! It is a killer.

From what I have seen if you want to run up front and have a high comp motor the norm is 1000-1500 miles per rebuild. I know the plenum motors rev a little higher and from what i have been told are harder on parts, they need more TLC. The standard VW intake will be a little better on parts and Im sure will run longer. I just got a plenum motor but havent raced it yet so time will tell. The major cost in 12 is the motor and trans.

We figure the motor and trans need to be rebuilt after a 1000 miles.

The Honda motors should run more than 1000 miles. The high RPM eats R&P's in the Mende boxes.
