4.0 ohv to 4.2 f150

any thoughts on swaping a 4.2 f150 v-6 in place of 4.0 ohv in a ranger? will the same trans work? New motor mts.? Is it worth the trouble?

The 4.2 is based off of the 3.8 engine. The bolt pattern, mounts, and everything else are different. The 4.2 has the same pattern as a SBF.
