can you create a large radius bend in 1.5" .120 DOM tubing with just a roll bender? are there any problems with doing it? will it flatten the tubing? when i say large radius im talking a radius of around 100 inches, i only need part of that though, its going on the top of a rollcage. so what do you guys think?

cool thanis guys, but im in utah so i cant actually use either of the places you guys mentioned, my real question was just if it could be done without flattening the tubing at all. i guess if it really comes down to it i can pack the tube with sand and do it. thanks guys.

When I do a bow run like that, I will put a series of marks on the tube every 2.5" and set up and pull only one notch per mark. Do this on each mark, and you'll see how close you get. I can make a tube pretty uniformly radiused with a JD squared with a little patience.;)

I actually use a modified harbor freight pipe kinker to do large radius bends in tube, for bumpers, lightracks, dash and window bars. Just 3-4 pumps every 2" and it puts a nice box in it with no kinking or anything i'll try and find some pics of it.

I don't think anyone read your question......
You are already using a tube roller, if the dies are the right size the ovalization of the tube will be no more than if it was done in a mandrel bender. Is that the right answer?
BTW, you can get a cheapo roller on ebay for $200 that will do 1.5" tube.....
