TIJUANA – Six men were shot to death and a seventh was wounded Monday afternoon when gunmen stormed a produce warehouse near the Otay Mesa border crossing.
The identities of the victims were not released, but they worked at the business, said Salvador Ortiz of the Baja California Attorney General's Office.

The business, called Ricardo Ulloa Z., is in a busy industrial neighborhood just west of the port of entry. Ricardo Ulloa is listed as the owner of the business and also of Mexbros Fruit Inc. across the border in San Diego.

Investigators said more than 100 spent casings from assault rifles were found inside the warehouse. The victims were apparently shot as they huddled near a desk. The floor was stained with blood when mourners stepped inside two hours later, sobbing quietly or staring in disbelief.

A municipal police officer said gunmen had come to kidnap the owner's son, but that could not be confirmed with the Attorney General's Office.

The attorney general also reported Monday the deaths of three men who were found inside a Chevrolet Trailblazer in an eastern Tijuana neighborhood.

Tijuana has experienced an unprecedented number of killings in the past month as drug gangs battle each other and the government. Kidnappings also have set the city on edge.


The son they are talking about is ROBERT ULLOA, hes a family member of rdc ROB U
and has been missing since the 3rd. Robert is a standup guy trying to run a legit business in tj and has been racing score on quads for years. our prayers to his safe return and for his family

I just read about it today on one of the Steve Martz murder attempt post. Had I known I would have posted it right away. 2 desert nation brothers......

Just curious? Wasn't trying to point blame for the late post. I just can't believe there wasn't something sooner. Does anybody have more details? Is there some kind of ransome being asked for?

Rob is not a D38 racer even though he has inquired about our races in the past. I posted this story last night on the D38 board so I'm hoping for any info from someone down here that knows him.

I talked to my g/f's Dad about this and apparently he and his family are/were acquaintances with Rob-U's family and also heard of the sad news. The story I am getting from him is that Rob-U's father was indeed killed in the attack and that Rob was kidnapped.:(

I hope that what he tells me is not true!

Wow, this REALLY makes me sad:( To me the desert community is closer than some family members.....I dont know what to do this really saddens me:(:confused:

I am so sad reading this news. I can't believe it. God, please be watching over Rob and his family. RIP Mr. U. What a tragedy. So sorry for the loss.
