Whats the best way of filling this hole, Again thanks to everyone for the advice, you have all been a great help in this build.

I took the larger ring gear out of the housing so that the cable drive gear would no longer turn. I then sealed the cable hole with silicone.

There is a fill rod out there that is the perfect size that you can push in and then weld up the end of it where the spindle nut goes on. You cant push the rod in all the way to where it comes out the back side because it curves right at the back of the spindle. I have seen some guys drill out the hole straight through the back and use a bolt to fill it. Its a ton more work then the fill rod. Hope this helps (i can check the size and let you know)

Believe it or not, i use a fuel pump push rod to fill my spindles. almost a perfect fit. Just slip it in, mark the rod, cut the rod, reinstall and weld. EASY.....

Ooop's, I guess I should look at which forum I'm posting in. I was thinking motorcycle, not 9 car.

Glad to hear you're finally catching on to the light weight thing. .065 is just not for paper towels anymore ;)...
