I have a 2006 Ford F250 Powerstroke diesel. When I'm driving without a load, as the transmission shifts from 2nd to 3rd it "over revs" slightly. The over rev is minor (maybe 100-200 rmp on the tach) but I can feel it and I can hear it.

Is this normal? Should I be worried? This is the first car I have owned with an automatic transmission.

Thanks!
:)

How many miles? Is it lifted with bigger tires? is it Chiped? Go have it serviced and see if that solves it, you are suspose to have the tranny serviced every 50,000 miles. Hope this helps you.

John Woods automotive in holtville, ca = your superduty transmission guru. He has done about 6 transmissions for me and friends.
