THEY FINISHED! The sidecar finished yesterday around 3 or 4:00pm. They missed the cut-off time by a little bit but they did it! HOLY COW!!!

They were stopped there for about 30 minutes. They weren't in a hurry to get back on it. The Monkey already had huge blisters on his hands and were getting them taped up there. The pipe was melting his boot too.

The Harley guys crossed the line but not with in time. And the tire was custom made by "maxi cross". At least that's what it said on the side wall.

Thanks guys for the supportive comments. We had a pretty rough time of it, but got it done. Our Harley made it the distance. The Swiss team went out around mile 200. They were doing it ironman, and the passenger had some serious problems and couldn't go on. I had three passenger who all were wipped after completing each of their sections. Whoops are not for sidecars, which is why I never wanted to race there. But when the Swiss guys decided to come over, I had to step up and defend. The guy who is nuts is the one who put those silt hills and made us go up after all teh bikes and cars went through. F'ing nuts!!!

Bike 1SC stopped their race atthe Mag 7 pit #4. They and the chase crew ended up spending the night there with us. They are a great bunch of people. Bike 5SC also hung out at Mag 7 Pit #4 for a while as w checked over their bike and made sure they were good to go. In the first pic of the bike along side the road. There is a woman taking to the driver. On Saturday mrning. She put on her riding gear and took over the hack duties and they headed out for the hardball to go back to Ensenada. That woman is tuff.....
