omar. you bet your sweet a-- they can NOT let her back in. if she has no way of proving that she is documented, you're gambling that she draws a border guard that is understanding and compassionate enough to let her cross. good luck with that. is there anyone who could bring her papers down from san diego? i'd do it for you but i'm locked in with my thanksgiving day commitment. good luck bro.

omar. i guarantee you it will take a long time to get it done, but if there are enough folks to vouch for her it she should eventually be able to cross. you know dam- well i'm no racist, but if she were a white, or even a black woman it would be more easily done i'm sure. these people have no standardized set of rules or protocol and you will subjected to their sense of what's right. it could be very difficult or a piece of cake man. could go either way but i'd allow for a long wait in secondary before it gets hashed out.

for crissakes man. why did'nt you tell me when you were here? i might have escorted her down for thanksgiving to mexicali myself. lol. that will change things quite a bit in my opinion. but it might still be a hassle. she'll make it over easier with that being the case i'll bet. might not be a bad plan to say her id WAS stolen down there. but then you'd prolly need a police report. wasser name heh amigo?

Only needed my Drivers License when I came back from Baja. Didn't even ask for my Passaport (which got left in the states in the car we parked at a buddies house).

yes. a dl will do the job. that will come with a little warning. i was with a lady who only had her cal id card and she had no problem. if she has her dl omar, no worries i don't think.

They will NOT hold her in a foreign country. As long as she has Drivers License or other valid state issued ID to vouch for her identity. It may take some time for the Border agents to verify she is who she says she is. She will probably answer many questions and get a stern warning. I don't recommend it but I have traveled across the border over the summer without passport and birth certificate. She will eventually get back to the US just with a little hassle.

She is a US Citizen, they can't keep her out. It may take time, but I doubt you will have any problem. It isn't a Commie country yet.

Omar' did you ever consider she may have forgotten it on purpose so she could spend some more quality time with her favorite son-in-law. LOL

If you have a mexican last name and you look mexican...youre hosed. Im the whitest mexican you will ever meet and I got harassed coming back across after baja...he told me they could put me in jail for no documentation. I had only my DL. Guy was a total douche bag but thats fine by me as I dont want them letting people in who shouldnt be coming in. Next time I wont forget my passport. All my buddies without a mexican last name had no isse with just a DL.
