I showed up at the Toys r us by my house ( anaheim HIlls) at 8pm and just got home right now. I had to get my daughter her Razor vespa looking scooter for x-mas and they only were gonna have 6-8 on hand in the mint green color and it was only 170.00 dollars compared to the normal price of 225.00!I never thought I would be one of those people that would stay up all night for black friday, but when you have kids all logic goes out the door to make sure they are happy at x-mas! I thank god for my psp for keeping me company the whole night! So anybody camp out over night somewhere!

We didn't but we saw Best Buy had a line 25 deep at 4:30pm yesterday complete with tents. It ended up raining and was in the high 70's, talk about uncomfortable! I looked online at the Best Buy ads and didn't see any really good deals, well nothing good enough to wait in line for 12 hours in the rain!

I'm on call this week and could not go to the desert with the wife and kids so the wife asked if I would go to Walmart to get a gamming system for the kids. I reluctantly agreed and at 5:00 this am decided I had better things to do and did not go. I went online and ordered one, guess I will have to tell the wife I was working LOL.

I was doing everything possible to try and find sales on generators for black friday. We have a generator in our trailer, but like to plug the trailer into an external one to keep the hours down on the big one in the trailer. And our little Honda took a dump last desert season. Just for lights and tv and such. Well after hours of many days endless web searching, last night I said screw it and searched craigslist. LOL. Found a 5500w generator on wheels from a construction guy less than a mile from where we live. $250 and a 9:30pm pick up runs great!
MISSION COMPLETE!

This story is a few years old...So my wife decides to hit one of those 'Black Friday' sales at Walmart there off of the 91 Fwy in Cerritos, the sale only lasts from 5-7a or something like that and 'she wont be gone long'... I'm think'in "Yeah honey..let me know how that works out for ya" ..as I drift back to sleep :D Well, within an hour here she comes through the door with no bags of stuff or anything. I knew something was up..."What happened?" I asked...Here is her story...
I arrived about 4:30a greeted by the empty stares and glares of those who had weathered the chilly night..."back of the line honey!" One shouted, arm flab jiggling in the light morning breeze as she pointed the way. Another grumbled under her hot breath "who does she think she is, we've been here all night?" As 5 am grew closer the tension began to rise...the doors would be open soon and the bargain race would on. People were warming up their carts, and cracking their knuckes. The veteran Black Friday shoppers were doing deep knee bends to loosen up for the melee. Most already had their game face on  and it wasn't pretty. "Is it 5 yet?" Someone asks. "My watch says 4:58" another, "Mine says 4:57"...tick tick tick - 4:59 and the people up front are feeling the pressure of those behind pushing in on them and crowding...They are late opening the door...tempers begin to flare and then it happens...A line dispute as the doors begin to open "I'm first!", one shouts as another pushes in and puts the squeeze on her...a third tries passing on the right, but is shut down handily by the second...with everyone in line behind them immediately joining the stampede...I instantly found myself caught up in a blinding hail of arm flab and elbows. A flurry of thunderthighs and plus size booties in a sea of twisted metal and plastic  The Christmas melee had begun. I managed to take a quick step right, then left dodging a bohemoth bootie that was swaying back and forth knocking down everything in it's path. "The children" I thought, my life flashing before my eyes...The shouts of angry moms, squeaky carts and fat slapping fat filled the air, the scent of BO burning my nose... Time was of the essence...must escape...must act quickly...It was then I caught a glint of light to my left between a couple of gelatinous whales jockeying for position in the mob...without hesitation I dodged ducked dipped dove and dodged again making it safely into the parking lot and back to my car. "That was a close one" I thought. The police began to arrive to stop the fight as I was pulling out of the lot and while I had nothing to show for my morning of shopping...I did manage to make it out with my skin and a great story of survival during a black friday shopping trip, doomed from the start.
There it is...She's never gone to a Black Friday sale since.

Great write! One WalMart "Door openner" employee was trampled to death this morning in New Jersey and the glass doors were torn down by the herd of flab.

The last thing I wanted to do was go shopping today, so I decided to go on Tuesday and see if could find what I wanted.
I only needed 1 thing and thats was for my 10 year anniversary next month. Well the salesman told me that he could give me 30% off that day, but If I come back on Friday he could do 50% off. So I asked him to put them on hold for me and he did. Since I've never been shopping on Black Friday, I didnt know what to expect. I get to the mall around 9 this morning and the parking lot is pretty empty, I walk in and could not believe how dead it was in there. I was so happy. I go to the jewlery store and find out that what I wanted is now 76.4% off. I saved around $1300 before tax. What a great day

I went to a mall in Santa Cruz today and it was a normal shopping day. The Mervyn's that was going out of business
had everything 50% off and actually had nice things left. I wish I had more time to shop.
