This is a begginer Q but I am a vertical band saw begginer. (still shopping)

What do you regular users find are the best speed settings for clean fast cuts that don't kill he blade. Is there a scale somewhere I can download for refference?

If there is no specific ref. guide then a few examples

speed for 1/4, 1/8 and 3/8 sheet steel?

speed for 0.90 wall mild steel, DOM and moly?

speed for thinner gauge aluminum sheet 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 and such?

If you have an extra second to explain why the speed is best for the specific metal that would be great. Prefer to undestand than to just follow the lead.
Thanks.

Ditto on going to the blade makers website. You should find a chart showing which teeth per inch and blade speed as a function of material and thickness is apprioate. You will need to find a saw that is variable speed...20 to 600 ft/min.
