I'm trying to squeeze these headers inside the firewall tunnel and they stick out about 2 inches too far, trying to figure out if I can make them work.
I was thinking of cutting off the flanges and tapering them back a 1/2 inch and in like 15 degrees to get them tighter any other ideas...

Those headers are junk. Have a good set of headers built and reap the rewards of alot more HP and TQ.

Looking at your pictures, I don't think you have a choice. If you build a good set of headers now, you wont have to change the rest of your exhaust system for the new motor.

if they're temporary just make them work and don't ask these guys.
the flanges look pretty thick, you might be surprised how much angle milling the flange will do

Hope your new heads are angle plug, otherwise your going to be looking at a lot of burnt plug wires.

Here is a 5 min movie of some software for making custom headers. I thought some of you would enjoy this.

Interesting. As always, a good tool for communication, but no shortcut through the obstacles.

Cause I am having a new motor built with diff heads and saving my favor from jack for that engine... I can get a deal on the parts through jack but would still have to pay his fabricator for around 40 hours labor...

Thx I was going to wing it, got all the parts today, had to get some flanges cut and they wont be done till monday... I think I am gonna buy that software so I can make the tubes as equal length as possible...

Dont worry about equal length, etc... as long as the primary diameter and collector diameter are correct, the extra hp you will get by attempting to go equal length or worry about an extra tight bend will not be noticeable unless you are on the dyno. I understand in a corr truck when every extra hp makes a difference it is worth it, but in most other off road racing that little bit potentially gained wont make a difference in the end. Just make them fit and be seviceable so that you can work around them etc..

I agree, Cris is a great guy and has always been easy to work with. I don't get to use Bendtech as much as I would like for several boring reasons but for the amount I have used it is a awesome tool for the money. I made the pictured MIG cart with zero waste (incorrectly bent tubes) thanks to Bendtech.

I remember that cart! I asked you a long time ago on OFN if it was cool to copy that for my plasma cutter. You said go for it..
