We will probably see a decrease in about 6 months. That is when the current gas prices should kick in for race fuel.

In one of the threads for the 1000. Race fuel prices was discussed. One of the distributors mentioned that current race fuel prices will remain the same until they used up the resources that they had purchased when the prices were high. look at post #9 for more info

Agreed on the time delay from race gas to standard pump gas. I paid $7.10/gal for 111 leaded about 5 days ago. Used to buy the same fuel for about 5.95/gal about 2 years ago.

Manufacturing of race fuel takes more steps than 91 and down. It is manufactured in bulk like all fuel but doesn't get used as regularly so the price will reflect the previous fuel prices for quite a while after our pump prices go down. Also... This is like any other bizz a reason to stretch it out a bit and put some extra cash in the pocket. Not an absolute but certainly possible. Good Luck at Parker.

One of the main guys from VP was at my shop the other day. Funny thing is i asked him the same question. He said if you noticed the price of race fuel has not gone up as much as regular fuel... He said race fuel is affected more on chemical prices not oil. Seams kind of weird but it is the way it is...
