View Full Version : Source for "NEW" Bug Body - Seeley style?

Does anyone know where I can find a "NEW" Bug body similar to the one that George Seeley is running on his Class 5 Unlimited? I have a street Baja project that I think that body would look great on! Before some wise-guy says "Use the search feature", I did use the search feature and all I found was a lot of whining about how they think George Seeley is cheating in one way or another.

That's very cool! But I was hoping to find a fiberglass replica including the roof.

Stu, do you have any more pics of that 5 car? Where are folks picking up the OEM replacement panels for the new beetle?

You can buy the parts from a VW dealer or go the aftermarket route and go through a body shop for the skins.

Very nice... definately a fair amount of labor in that car. Since the new beetle has been out for 10 years now, isn't anyone making the front fiberglass yet or is it still one-off?

george used factory sheet metal with a street style glass front end .info straight from the horses mouth.

Its surprising that you do not see more of these running around since they have been out for 10 years now and the 98's bluebook down to 1200.00.

there's one on dezertrangers.com with a wrecked front end but the rest of the body is still is good shape..

try JCL in Westminster, he does alot of drag stuff. That's where George got his body from. Real cool guy, Jim is his name, sorry no #.
