Thanks for starting the thread, we plan on this being our first DRIVE race. I was hoping we would be able to race the Trophylite 250 but we won't have the truck ready in time following the New Years Dash.

Doug, this would be a good place for you to post up some of the differences in the rules that DRIVE has. For example, you have a specific Yellow Light rule and Blue Light requirement that is different. You wouldn't want someone to show up at the race not knowing....????

Is it too soon to start pumping up the RDC 250 in Plaster City on March 21??? I don't think so...I for one am very excited for race #2 of the DRIVE series. Race #1 the Trophylite 200 went off without a hitch and this next race should only be that much better!!!

We are planning qualifying for all classes with 7 or more teams pre-registered by March 6th. I know of some more 1450 teams that will be racing so there's a very good chance of qualifying.
We will have all the event info and schedule of events up early this week.
Thanks for entering!

No. I co-dawg'ed 1568. We had a very long day and only got 2 laps in. It was one of those great experiences that kinda sucked too. You know?
I was towing the 1 car and 3-12 cars through tech with a Rhino, (no easy task), when you called Friday. So I owe you a call Doug,

Long story short.......it was Larry's fault! Just kidding. 0.1 miles out of camp the GPS and bracket came off the bike. I was watching it tumble through the air and not watching the course. My limited talent on my bike ran out real quick. I was able to ride the rest of the time but can't lift my arm above my head. Next time I'm taking the Jeep:confused::D

We are finding more and more new and exciting trails for this race, 40 mile loop :) We had a great time on the layout of the gates, checkpoints and road xings. I am so much of a last minute procastinator. Looks like we will be in dezert back to back weekends. I had told Doug I would help out on Becky Estrada's situation. If anyone that would like to help, I will be donating half of all my dvd and picture cd sales to help Becky Estrada pay her medical Bills. Picture cds will go for 20 bucks and will have all pics taken per race. I will have limited amounts of dvds for 10 bucks so its a first come first serve basis. Every little bit will help.
All picture cd's are from Plaster city races. I will have a few San Felipe 250 race dvds.

I think I can speak for the whole group of Class 10 entrants. All our cars were in a state of disassembly and the way the economy is some didn't think it was prudent to spend the cash now to get them ready. I think we will all be out for the May race if things go as planed. I'm still bummed we didn't do this race. I know DRIVE put a lot of effort into making this a great course.
And the simple fact that there is a huge group of people willing to go out and help this series says everything about the promotor.

Great race DRIVE, although the entries didn't really show it, the organization reall well put together.
I dont get it, people always have something to complain about, entry fee's too high, not enough volunteers, the course is too easy, it's too rough, cheaters dont get busted, etc. etc. blah blah blah...
DRIVE has covered just about every issue people have with the orgs they race and where are they?

I just wanted to thank all the racers that came out to the first RDC 250. We put together a package for everyone that started shipping today and the rest should go out tomorrow. Everyone gets a 8x10 picture of their vehicle and a RDC The Year in Dirt DVD. The ones that signed up for RDC contingency get some extra stuff. Even the one that DNF'd!

If all goes right, we'll be there. Nothing like night racing, especially if we get an awesome course like the last, keep them coming.

We don't post the map until the week of the race. We don't post the GPS file at all. We will load it on a chip for you starting Friday morning. Pre-running is limited to Friday and Saturday for this race. It's usually only Friday but since this is a night race you can pre-run Saturday until 5:30 PM.

I hope to see you there. We are headed back out today to look at some more course options. I have a good course picked out but there are a few sections that I'm not 100% happy with so I'm bringing Larry out with me to get a second opinion.
Thanks for supporting us!

I got to see an advance view of the RDC Video of the Month for May, (I kept pestering Curtis), which is about the RDC 250.
Good coverage, (my 2nd VOM and 1st actual shout out). Thanks RDC and Thanks DRIVE. I really liked the part about using the flags for gates.
