Hey, whats up folks? Our 9 (#976) car is fairly new to the MDR scene as well. We were doing prety well in the Bud Dash 200 until we broke about Mile 100. I am also new to this forum and looking to get to know some people that race 9's.

Thanks for the site info, Pro-nine.com. I am having trouble logging into it though. Anyway, are you referring to the 500 mile race that's coming up at some point?
My brother and I have to find the "Sweet Spot" in our car so we can push uit to the limit without breaking. Yeah we had a 8 minute or so lead on our class at mile 100, but we broke. It was pretty frustrating to see the guys who poked along the course like slugs go away with the win. It just shows us that there is quite a bit of strategy and luck involved in desert racing especially class nine!

My hats off to Team Goltz! Greg and te Familia are good friends of our son Jay. Greg designed the car and Greg/dad and Mike all pitched in to make it a reality. I know Worm gave input as we did and for a first effort it came out killer considering it's their first foray into fabbing (I thought Smithhart was nuts!). Cool thing is: Greg was a confirmed 1450 wannabe who saw the light and went swinger (peer pressure was involved). He bought a beater single seater with plans to go the Shred route to a full rebirth and somehow they turned left. Nice job guys, about time you pulled the plug on the skunkworks program!

Should be a blast, Transaxle engineering has the best boxes and Babe builds some screaming engines, he should know better than to use those valve covers though ;)

Hey man the car looks clean. I was looking closer and notcied you have the same compufire unit that I have. I believe that you have to mount it vertically instead of laid down, because of the heat. Check the instructions though. Peace. Good luck with the racing.

Congrats homies, it came out nice! The Burner and Transaxle Eng combo will be tough to beat for sure, throw in the Fred Flintstone, foot 2 floor nitrous system and you should give Bud a run for his money... Testing this weekend? Jimmy's supposed to be going Sunday. Wormies rocket was out with the TL and RPI's 12 last weekend and was tearing it up, gave us both a run for our money... What did he say: "Fur in the seat, can't be beat", looks like game on in December! PS the car looks so good you can barely notice the Calvin Klein model next to it ;)
