Class 9 Racers Only Vote

Myself and 7 other SNORE/MORE racers have done our best to present the three best options for the "Big Race" Each promotor had great ideas for the class in general and the "Big Race"

Here are the options and please vote only if you are going for it. The poll will display the voter name and choice. Click on the number of votes to view.

Voting Ends January 16 2009



DRIVE
• Entry fee $500.00 and no membership fee. $465 with membership.
• Payback $150 per entry and a bonus payback of $3000 for 30 cars and $3500 for 40 cars. Minimum 10 cars required.
• 30 cars would payback $7500 and 40 cars would payback $9500 and the class decides the splits. A pre race qualifier would determine starting line-up.
• DRIVE will promote the race on their web site and contact contingency sponsors to ask for additional support. DRIVE volunteered to share promotion costs and develop/ distribute posters.
• Race date would be September 19.
MORE
• Entry fee $450.00 plus membership if needed.
• Payback $150 plus $90 or $240 per entry. Bonus of $1200 for 20 cars, $1300 for 30 cars and $1400 for 40. Additional $1000 class sponsor pledge, additional $1500 if entries reach 40 cars.
• 30 cars would pay back $9500 and 40 cars would pay back $13500.
• MORE will promote the race on their web site but suggest we approach contingency providers as a class for added support this race.
• Race Date is May 23 Day Night 500
SNORE
• Entry fee for the Mint is $880 plus member fee. Information off web site.
• Class 9 will be chosen as a feature race in the series and the payback and bonus schedule is not yet available. This information will be released after the January 5th SNORE meeting.
• SNORE already has a class nine designation and payout schedule. It would be up to the class Representative to acquire additional sponsorship and support.
• It was said that the MINT would be a tremendous race for exposure.
• Race Date March 26-29 The Mint 400

I voted for the MORE 500 but would also be open to the DRIVE race. I think the entry cost at the mint is a little over the top.

The MINT this year is going to be an epic race and SNORE had suggested the PRO 1600 format to our class to boost payouts. DRIVE will be good and they are working hard on thier first races.
I also chose the MORE 500 as my choice race.

I'd vote for the More 500 if I was going to cast a vote. Since I'm not a DOR, and since the DOR I race with already voted I won't.

We are going into race prep mode here at DRIVE so I won't have much time to get on RDC until after the 17th. I looks like the results are pretty obvious. Thank you to the people that voted for our series. It was a honor to even be considered with SNORE and MORE.

Dave...your going to do a great job and thank you for putting in so much effort. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.

"The Big Race" for 2009 will be the MORE Day-Nite 500 on May 23rd.

Thanks to all who voted. Getting sponsors and the entry turnout will be the next project.

I am sending MORE a confirmatin letter and a note to DRIVE and SNORE thanking both for participating this year.
I also will ask MORE to make available a mailing list of all their 9 car racers the last 2 years so I can get an invite out to all.

Letters are being mailed this week to all current MORE vendors asking for extra cash/product for "The Big Race". I will mail and or call each at the middle of each month between now and the race.

New vendors are being identified now to add to the mailing list each month.

I will update the site with commitments as I get them.
