Get some plumbers expansion plugs to plug the inlet and outlet tubes. Any radiator shop will have a pressure tester that goes on the neck to pressurize it. The only problem we've had is a leak at the neck on ours that I need to weld. If you have any problems pm me and I can help you. I just don't have plugs handy.

I can't even imagine not having a radiator pressure checker. Connect it in place of the cap, on the vehicle, and pump it up. Most leaks will be very easy to spot. They don't cost very much and are a solid part of prep and/or diagnosis.

Check all your lines that is probably the issue. I have a PWR radiator, tranny cooler and oil cooler. I have had zero issues with PWR products in over 3 years of harsh abuse.

just got news from little brother (gcddarren) that the radiator was leaking in two places inside near the tank, so kirk's radiator in santee fixed it by vacuum sealing it with epoxy..for 900 i would have expected to not fail the first go around, and yes i properly mounted it, bought all the mounting from kartek. and to the pro "fabricator" guy saying what is wrong with us not having a pressure tester, sorry not everyone's daddy is a snap on tool guy.....

Man, what's up with that? When I mention things, I'm automatically some kind of spoiled brat. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I am the king of cheap. I have found a cheap way to do nearly anything mechanical. I got the same ration when people were complaining here about the expense of tube bead rollers. I posted nothing more than 'make your own'. After the name calling, I posted a picture of my inexpensive home made roller.
I made my own pressure checker with a used air regulator, gage, and radiator cap. Years later I found one at a garage sale. I have never bought (or stolen) a nice new one of any kind.
It must be just attitude, but I would have some kind of pressure checker, no matter what. It's just too basic. What's so outrageous about being able to check the entire cooling system on nearly any car, forever, for a little bit of work, or $75 at HF? Oh, and my Dad didn't buy me squat or leave me much of anything material at all. Good luck with your race effort.
