Hey DRIVE volunteer guy/gals,
Doug just informed me that John Cole from Elite Auto Service and Justin Bearinger from Beardesigns (the t-shirt guys) are going to be sponsoring checkpoints again for the Race-Dezert 250 on march 21st. This helps us out with providing snacks, soda, water, etc... to the volunteers so you guys keep your energy up during the long day :D
This is very cool of them for two major reasons:
1. They're helping to support DRIVE make racing better for the Imperial Valley
2. They're directly supporting US the volunteers because they understand just like DRIVE does, without a great volunteer team the races can't happen.
So a big thanks to Justin and John and a big thanks also to the whole DRIVE volunteer team.
We'll see you all at the next race!

How awesome is that!? I am planning to be out there again that weekend, got my buggy ready and will hopefully get a race radio installed in it soon to use as a rover

That would be great Carlos.
We are hoping to load up with rovers again for the next race. One for every "sticky" spot, and one for each gate :D
See you at the race!

I like the trussell area so if I get my buggy ready by then I'd be glad to help. Looking into getting a GPS on it soon too

Our checkpoint was given an extra little "thank you" at the end of the race for the TrophyLite 200!!! Brian and Amy, maybe you could help me out with this for the RDC 250. I would like to draw a volunteer position to get it for the RDC 250. If on Saturday morning, I could get from you a list of all the positions that are volunteers. We can put them in a hat or something and everyone working that position will get the little "something extra" from us. That way, all the volunteers have a chance of getting it instead of just our sponsored checkpoint. Cool?/Lame? What do you think?

That is very cool Justin! We can do it at the Volunteers meeting before everyone gets their gear. You guys are awesome.

It's a pretty darn sweet deal for the racers as well. They do have the DRIVE Volunteer Team running the course for them after all :D
