I have wanted to do this for years. Finally decided it needed to look good for BAP:

looks good, I am sure it feels great to have it painted and looking finished. I was going to send my F150 out for paint but I had to RR the transmission instead :(

Yes, finally it looks all good. You decide what color and theme your going with?

I am going to make it a surprise...well, I am going to go with two siler colors and see what I can come up with. I am woking on the dash right now. My goal is to just get the truck done and have it looking good all at once.

the truck looks good. what all did you do in the way of prep before painting? I would like some details because it looks great!

-sanding? block sanding? what sand paper did you finish with?
-Did you primer?
-How much paint did it take to do the whole truck?

Started with 200. Did some minor body work in the glass and doors. Sanded the bondo down. 200-400-800-1200 wet. Hit it with a scotbrite pad then a tack cloth several times to get it as clean as possible. Took about 1 gallon in paint to do the entire truck. This paint was more or less a single stage paint so no primer. Truck was hit at the last short course race, bent the doors and glass but the paint didn't chip!!
