Is there a way to make logos and/or writing in solidworks? And is it easy or should I be looking at using another program and maybe bring it in as a dxf?

There is a writing feature in the Sketch toolbar, and it draws from the fonts that are on your computer (for MS word, etc). For something more creatives you probably want to go with an artistic program and find away to import to a shared file type. A dxf is simple and easy, can be rotated, stretched, etc.
Hope this helps

I got. I didnt have the "DXF/DWG" option selected in my insert menu.
To anyone else, just start a sketch on the part, click the insert tab at the top, scroll down to DXF/DWG and select the file you want.

Once you have the sketch with your imported DXF you can Ctrl drag the sketch onto a plane in a different part.

You can also save it as a library part feature and pull it down from your design library menu just drag and drop and dimension.

Both good ideas. Thanks
