i am new to this but have done some researching over the last couple of months and have decided that i want to prerun my truck, it is a 1997 ranger single cab short bed. 2.3 litre 5 speed 2wd. i just wanted some people with experiance to give me an idea of what its going to cost to built a nice daily driven truck i can take to the desert. i would like a prooven setup that people aernt having problems with. i can do most of the fabrication myself so i can build a 4 link and the cages and everything. so any help with the suspension would be great and what should i do about the 2.3s lack of power?

First off you have the wrong truck to try and build the wheel base on a single cab short bed is too short , personal opinion i have built two rangers. and do yo want to build it linked or not cuz if your going to link it its not going to be a daily driver. lets start with those ?s

Build it! I had the same truck and built it up, and it would run down a lot of the "right" trucks with bigger motors.
