I just want to thank everyone that came out and volunteered with us at the RDC 250. That was a massive course with a lot of spots that needed to be supervised by volunteers. You guys did it :) and as a result the race went off without a problem!

TIM (Team Praxair)!! The number one Spotter! Dude, you should get an award for everything you do! Thanks for sticking it out even after a no-sleep late night before the race. You rocked! I hope Chantel will be out at the next race :-)

Erik and Amber Baker (and everyone else @ RC 1) thank you for keeping the course safe at Road Crossing 1. That was surely one of the most hectic spots on the course! You guys did a great job.

Jesse and Matt Tindell (MATT MATT) Were out at Road crossing 2 all day keeping the course clear in Plaster City West. And thanks to Jesse for getting the communication equipment out to everyone race morning!

James Cunningham (NAVY moto-X), Jerrod, Josh, Karry, Jennie, Shane, and your whole crew, thank you for holding up the fort at Checkpoint 1 all day. You guys were AWESOME! We have some great photos of you with trucks coming through the CHK. It was great meeting you all and DRIVE is looking forward to getting some fundraisers together with the D38 guys to support the NAVY Off Road facility. A BIG thanks to John Cole and Elite Auto Service for sponsoring Checkpoint 1. John was out there race day as well with his killer Bronco. Maybe you should race that thing in the May race as a Sportsman?

Chad Craig and his buddies were keeping an eye on the Trestles Road Crossing. Another spot that was packed with people. Thank you guys for coming out to the race from the Marine Corps Base even after a long work week! You kept the course safe for racers and spectators.

Arron and Family (and dog!) were out at Checkpoint. They did an incredible job! Amy and I stopped by their Checkpoint near the end of the race and the wind was HOWLING! Thanks for hanging in there, even when it was obviously painful to be out there getting pelted with sand :o

Jason Madison, Cameron Blount, Nikki, and the rest of the Road Crossing 4 / Checkpoint 3 crew you guys did a great job! We met up with you toward the end of the race as well (with sandwiches and drinks) and you guys were in full sand-attack mode with your goggles on ;D We got some great pictures of your group as well. Thank you for coming out for the race.

Adam, Ken and the rest of the Checkpoint 4 / Road Crossing 5 crew. You guys were out there and ready for the race before anyone else, and you were at the FARTHEST point from the START/FINISH. Having race vehicles coming off the dry lake bed up to your check must have made for some MAJOR stops! It's great seeing you guys out at each race.

SIXTO BALBUENA and TODD LEIGH.... You guys are the most famous volunteers of the race ;) I think that nearly half of all the rovers/volunteers rushed to your "incident" when we heard over the radio that your truck had decided to take a rest on its' lid... I thank God that you guys are O.K. a truck is easily replaced and I'm glad that you both got away without any injuries. I have some photos of you guys when Amy and I passed your Road Crossing as well as a ton of your truck. I'll post them both this week. Thanks again for coming out to volunteer and for giving us the biggest scare of the race! You guys did a great job!

Roman, What can I say.... You drove all the way out from Phoenix for the race, had to find a Checkpoint out in the middle of the desert without following course markers, AND did so after I told you that we were moving your checkpoint to a "new" spot. You and your group of guys were awesome! I'm sure when you come out to race with DRIVE you will do great, but we will definitely miss you guys as volunteers. Please say "thank you" to the guys that made it out with you from Phoenix, you guys all did a killer job! And a BIG THANKS to Alicia and BEARDESIGNS for sponsoring Checkpoint 5 with food and goodies!

To all the ROVERS:
Chad Coptic, John McMurrin & Family, Mike Jilka, John Sexton, Gary Estrada & John Marlin, Joe Stokes, Larry Cox, Avery Moler, Davin Brigman, Chuck Grasmick & Tony Grasmick (Team G), Eddie Hayes, and anyone else that showed up race day wanting to rove...

You guys rocked! Each one of you were the eyes and ears for Darren (DRIVE MAIN). You keep an eye on the race and helped with whatever situation popped up. Helping racers get "un-stuck", watching the gates to ensure there was no course cutting, and rushing to any emergency during and after the race. Seriously, THANK YOU.

I know I missed a couple of you in this list. When Amy and I have a chance to go over the DRIVE Volunteer Team photos and our notes we'll surely be updating this.

YOU ALL ROCKED, the race was great, and the racers had a chance to run an incredible course thanks to each of you.

Now relax and get rested, the DRIVE night race is coming up in May......

Thanks again!
