View Full Version : Night Race May 16th: The DRIVE Volunteer Team is assembling...

I just wanted to start this thread to get the May 16th date for the night race on everyone's RADAR.

The night races are awesome from a volunteers perspective. You get out to the checkpoints, road crossings, etc. before the sun goes down. Plenty of time to set up and relax while watching the sun set, then it's race time! Seeing the race at night is a cool experience and it's also nice to be out there without the sun beating down on you.

The next course is going to need about the same number of volunteers, so we have to assemble another DRIVE army :D

If you are coming out to volunteer the night race, tell me so that I can begin to get things together. If you have friends that would like to volunteer, let me know and give me their contact info.

It's an amazing site to see. It's like a sea of red shirts on race day. They are everywhere. Thank you very much for the time and effort you put into desert racing!

We need to thank Beardesignz for the volunteer shirts. They have provided them for free for the last 2 races. They also come early and stay late to help out.

Brian and Amy, you guys are doing a great job on organizing a group of volunteers that love being part of what it takes to put an organization together. Thank you for your contribution.

Military issue night vision from the Marine Corps guys maybe? :D
