What gear ratio???

What gear ratio should I use on my truck? Here's the drive train spec:

SBF 302 (stock for now, maybe stroking it)
C6 transmission
D300 transfer case
35" tires

The use will be mixed between on and off road.

too much tire for a 302. Stick with 35's.

I'll stay with 35" tires. I am getting a deal on a 302 engine with AOD (4R70W). My calculations says at 100mph, 4.56 gears and third gear (overdrive off), I'll get about 4300 rpm (2900 with OD). Does that seem right?
I don't know the power curve for the 302 yet (nor the shift points on the tranny). I just want to get a ballpark so I can order the gears.

I have invested a great amount of time in a Excel file with gear ratios and speeds, tire sizes and more than you want to know.
