Belts ?!

Is there a major quality difference between Simpson and Crow belts ? I have some Simpson 5 points from my original prerunner that are 8 years old , are these still good ? I noticed just a small price difference between the 2 companies.

If you're going to race it, they check the dates. Most sanctioning bodies won't allow belts older than 2 years. If you are just prerunning with them, old belts are typically fine UNLESS they've taken a major hit. You should visually inspect them where they come thru the seats and especially at the metal ends and d-rings for any sign of fraying or wear. if they get torn or bunched at all, I'd replace them.

As far as I know, there is no major difference in quality between any of the major brands, but make sure you get SFI approved ones.
