So it didn't take me long to think of someone that I would want reading my maps and guiding me thru the tough streets of New York all the way to Austin Tx. Why not have a guy that can guide himself thru Africa....Andy Grider popped into my head and I made the phone call to my Ex riding partner. Andy said yes for sure! I think that we will make a great team and I know that Andy will do a great job. We will be driving in my 2008 Subaru STI rolling on General tires. This rally will be shown on T.V I will find out date and times for all out RDC people to watch. Andy and I fly out tuesday AM for New York so wish us luck!

Who are the other competitors?
It seems if they are average run of the mill contestants, a couple of pro racers might have a good edge.
Is this season a "pro/am" or something?

What I think is really cool is 2 of the teams that I race against in the TL class are stepping up and helping me..Plus the owner of the truck that I drive for helps with this and just about everything that I wanna do..TL guys are awesome..

I saw that car on the lift gate of the hauler at the Jesse Jones pit at the first RJORGP race at Perris last year. Wondered what the deal with the car was. Looked like it had seen some action in the dirt!

Mikey Childress will represent Team General Tire in the 2009 Bullrun Rally. Kicking off July 10, 2009, in New York City, racers will take off on a seven-day automotive rally and cross-country party that ends July 17th in Austin, Texas.
Some 100 celebrities and car-heads take part in the “luxury lifestyle” rally event. The remaining rally locations over the seven days remain a mystery, but Bullrunners can expect to swing by some incredible cities on their way, with a party each night when they reach the day’s destination.

No disrespect to this event, Mikey Childress or his sponsors, but if other posts about other events, death notices etc. get pulled and moved from the desert racing section, and Pete's TL thread gets locked, just curious why this one is okay to stay in desert racing? Maybe I am too old for this *&%$$^.

Go to Generaltire.com and you can track Mikey, he is in Pittsburg tonight, no tickets day 1 and he finished in 5th? Just got off the phone with him. He was saying some have helicopter support and chase/decoy vehicles? Money, you got to love it. Go get em Mikey!
