July 2009 RDC Monthly Giveaway


Every month you will have a chance to win free stuff from RDC by submitting "RDC Sightings" in the thread below. RDC Sightings are Photos of RDC in real life situations submitted to this forum.

An example would be a RDC sticker placement, RDC apparel worn by someone or anything RDC-ish you can come up with. Be creative.

In addition this month we are looking for PCI Race Radios sightings, stickers or product use photos.

We collect all submissions for the duration of the month before picking 5 finalists. Then any forum member can vote on their favorite during the following month.
The finalist with the most votes wins that month's contest. This is a non-stop 365 days a year contest as the following month another new contest will start over.

30 Days voting on 5 finalists - 1 winner - nonstop

Stickers can be obtained in our online store or for free at trade shows that we are setup at. RDC staff should always have some free for you. Just ask us.

Monthly prizes may vary but should at the very least include a couple RDC products.

Winner will be announced in the forum by the end of August 2009.


Rules:

- Multiple submissions per forum member allowed, but only one of those submissions will be used as a finalist.
- Five (5) finalists will be selected by RDC staff at the end of the month.
- Every registered RDC forum member has one vote.
- Contest entrant is the forum member that posts the sighting, not necessarily any people or property seen in the uploaded photo.
- Submitted photo has to be rightfully yours.
- Past month entries can not be resubmitted until a 6 month period has passed.
- Winner of contest can not cash-out their winnings. You win what we offer, not a substitute prize.
- This contest is open to any forum member regardless of their location.
- RDC does not encourage vandalism. Place RDC decals only with property owners permissions.
- RDC forum moderators are excluded from the contest.
- Winner will be announced here in this forum thread after voting is completed.

You all probably already know that I was featured for a few seconds on "The Jesse James is a Dead Man Show".

I had submitted a video entry where I dared him to do a "Loop de Loop" in a street car. If ya have not seen my video entry here it is... (please note I am wearing an RDC shirt and strategically made sure the RDC logo on my pit bike in the backround was visible also and I even managed to work the infamous word "Hokey" into the video too).

If ya watch the show you already know that JJ diddn't use my idea but he did come on RDC and say my video was funny and they were gonna fit it in the show someplace and they did. At the end of the "Baja 500" episode they ran a promo for the following weeks show (the Pizza Hut bug/ monster truck episode) and they had a second and a half of me on the show saying "Ya need some BALLS!!!" (My first time on international television and I say "BALLS"... my Mom is so proud)

I was working when "BIG HOCK" texted me sayin I was on TV. All night long my phone blew up with calls and texts from friends and family. I finally got to see the show for myself a few hours later. The following week they ran the promo video quite regularly. I was still getting texts etc. from people saying "Dude, did I just see you on TV?" A forum member (sr mumz) told me he saw my face on the Jumbotron in Times Square and blurted out "I know that guy" as the people on the street looked at him like he had 10 heads.

When the episode aired, it turned out they used a second clip along with the "BALLS" one where I call JJ a "chicken".

So the other night I went out to the garage to get a picture of me, in my RDC shirt, standing in front of the TV, with me paused on the TV, while wearing my RDC shirt with, my pit bike with the RDC sticker on it in the backround and my laptop open with the RDC sightings contest entry of my friend JRod on the screen. (I had this whole idea or recreating the video in a picture for the contest. So full of win!)

I figured it was a good idea and we are always short at least one radio at the races and I really really wanna win that thing because we need it but, I needed to incorporate a PCI sighting also so.... I was gonna move the TV over to the top of my heavily stickered beer fridge (which has a PCI sticker on it.) I asked my roommate to help me get this done and he was quick to point out that that this would have been "staged" and he was right. He also pointed out that there were a million RDC sighting all over my garage so i decided to do a little sideshow documentary of it that is completely natural and in no way "staged" (and it includes the pic of TV with me on the Jesse James show...)
