what are some pros and cons for using a plastic fuel cell for a prerunner. i havnt seen anyone use them before and i was wondering why cuz they use them for circle track racing and drag racing. is it because they arent as well protected?

Real fuel cells have a metal can for added protection.

I use one for short course, with foam and proper install.
I also bought one for my new sandcar build, came with foam rollover valve and two fuel ports and locking sealed cap.
you can make a metal cover for these if you are worried about punctures. if you need big capacity, check out marine gas tanks also. you can get all of these with sending units too.
