So is this just a draw order or is it the actual starting positions for the bikes?

This is the actual starting order for everyone.

We ended up second off the line in quad expert, I will take that!

It is not the order of the start just in your class they will tell us that at the riders meeting

Sorry, I misunderstood the question. I understand what you are asking now. Dezman is right, this is the order you are starting in class, not the order the classes are starting.

Craig, Why are you not in the pro class? Havent you won the PRO CLASS 24 the last hundred or so races and hold the #100 plate in Baja. Just wondering and I think you could win.

well... we only won the baja 1000 last your in class 24- we placed 3rd in the 08 250 and 500... winning the 1000 pushed us up to top top for the championship. We wanted to see if we could make it stick this year, so far, all is going well. Next year, we will not be able to run class 24 with our new quad. A sweep of the 3 SCORE races this year would be a huge accomplishment for our team since we have only been racing for 3 years.

Tried for the win in Expert in BITD last year after we seemed to be up in the points race, but NEVER actually won a race. this year as in SCORE we have swept the BITD races in Expert but still have tough competition. At the Bluewater race Harpo's team was breathing down our necks...

In SCORE and in BITD the next class up we are about 45 minutes to an hour off the pace of the first place teams in the next class up. Moving up would put us in 4th or 5th overall I think. Rest assured we'll be trying for that after this season depending on how we finish this season out.

I know most of the guys that are faster than us and I'm sure we will have our work cut out for us to even dream of a 1st place in those classes.... up until last year's baja 1000 we never, ever took a first place home.

Lies! All lies!

Just look who is leading the overall ATV points in SCORE-

Leading the overall ATV and the Class 24 point standings with 163 points is the team led by defending Class 24 season point champion Craig Christy, Burbank, Calif., on a Honda TRX450R.

DougHee Hee Doug! Hopefully you are closer to being done tonight. Trust me, I'd rather be racing and stressing right now then spectating but it was a little too late for me to get something going after we decided we weren't doing pits. I still gotta cheer on my quad peeps, ready or not! :D

Chris and I had a blast in Nevada hanging out with our teams, chasing, pitting, and seeing lots of friends. You all did GREAT! A huge congrats to Doug and team for their win in the Expert Quad class. And a huge congrats to Marc, Jason, Eric for 2nd place. I'm jealous not because I wasn't racing, but because every time I have, there have been like 18 teams in that class. Not so many this time at all. Great job to all the ironmen also. How many ironmen finished? How about the UTV's? I guess I can look at the results, huh? It was exciting to watch Stuart and Matlock battling the whole 3 days. Wow! Good stuff guys.

The Double D KTM team of David Pearson/David Kamo kicked booty! No major issues except for Kamo's crash on Day 3, just before Pit 7. A few people hit the same, unmarked thing. Kamo took a ride (by car) to the hospital but all is OK and nothing broken, thank God! Our mechanic repaired all the damages at Pit 7 and Pearson brought 'er home, making up 8 minutes in the last 65+ miles. Holy Cow! Way to go, guys!! :)

The highlight for me was getting to go into the "money booth" inside the El Capitan in Hawthorne Friday night. My ticket was called and I had 45 seconds to grab as many bills in the air as possible, then had to shove them into this little tiny slot. It was a lot harder than it looks. I was so excited and nervous and screaming all at the same time. Ha! I won $100 bucks. Thanks for the hot tips Cliff (Wayne's dad). He was telling me exactly what to do and it worked. So dang funny!

The engineer from Arctic Cat Chris Evens found a cursed arrowhead at pit 3 day one. It looked cool but made us break every day. The whole race was a struggle breaking stuff that we never thought could and never had a problem with before. We just made it in before the cut off time all three days.
If it wasn't for our incredible chase crew it would have been three DNF's. The streak of finishing every desert race ever entered continues for Fines Double Racing. (by the skin of our teeth)
Amy has mailed the cursed arrowhead to Thief River because Chris was afraid to fly with it home.
