Today starts the season. Can't wait for cooler weather. Might head out to Plaster City this weekend for a day trip. I've never been there. How different is it from Ocotillo?

Plaster City is fun... It's lots of wide open cross country stuff. A good ride is from there up into Superstition mountain. Play the dunes a little, launch off the top of Sand Damn, then ride around to the south side and there's a mini Shell Reef area kinda like whats out past pole line east of the gas domes. Lots of little natural MX tracks that can be linked. It's definately a fun area!!! You should go the weekend of the 18th for the Fud race...

Probably won't enter but it definetly sounds like a good race to watch. This will be my second season on the cr250 so I'm still green. This bike is a blast to ride. Definetly beats the fun factor of the 400ex.

Went to Plaster on Sat. Painted gorge is cool. How do you get to Superstition?

If you're at the factory in plaster city looking across the valley towards Ocotillo Superstition is the moutain off at about 2 o-clock on the horizon is it's dusty or hazy. It doesn't look big but trust me, ride up to it and it's pretty big. There's lots of dunes up the side of it with some fun razor backs to launch off and stuff. Sand Dam is the main hill there and it's a pretty popular spot for sand drags up the hill. With a spotter you can FLY off the top cause one side is like 10' high to a peak and the other drops forever!!!! First time you go over the top you'll be amazed at what's on the other side.
