i have gotten numerous emails about this spring, so i thought id post pictures of an install i did today. it is a 3leaf pack that you bolt in place of the overload leaf, using your stock main and second leaf. this is for the 87-95 2wd toyotas. gives about 2.5-3" of lift. 11" of wheel travel. it also works on the mini-tacoma and i think the tundra (ill confirm that tomorrow). the travel numbers would be different for each.

Seems like a really good Idea, any plans to make it for other trucks?

yes, we did a production line for a company, T-Rex, for dodges. same thing, remove the overload, bolt in the pack, put it back together. simple and cheap.

"a 3leaf pack that you bolt in place of the overload leaf, using your stock main and second leaf."
Do you have something like this for a 2000 Tacoma 4X4? Would this kit work? I'm sure you know this, but my Tacoma has 3 leafs plus the overload leaf.

i believe it will work for the 2000 tacoma 4x4. it is a cheaper alternative to the bolt in tacoma spring we offer. with the 3leaf overload replacement, you dont gain much travel (no more than an inch more), whereas with the full spring you gain about 5" of travel. both give around 1.5" of lift.

It seems kind of like a more progressive spring rate add-a-leaf. Is this correct?

kinda, but not really. with this, you eliminate the overload leaf altogether, and it makes the ride better. i know what you meant, im just scared to say anything we make is like an "add-a-leaf". im allergic to them. gross.

yeah I was nervous calling it an add-a-leaf but didn't know what else to relate it to. I take out the overload if I ever have to put in an a-a-l, which makes the ride somewhat better but it's still harsh. I figured the multiple added leafs would make it more progressive - maybe not.

Sounds more like a "Replace-a-Leaf"....
Does that sound better ?? LOL !!
