How much heavier are 934's than 930's in the total setup? Are all of the parts heavier? Why do 0 1600 teams use them? Also on another board someone said it would be impossible to build a 1600 mid engine because a bus tranny wouldn't work upside down. Any other ways to make that work?

I would think that info is wrong.Raymond Potter had a 2 seat mid engine(Toyota 4 cyl)with a bus tranny. He said it worked fine except for the greater angle on the c.v.s because on the bus tranny the c.vs are not exactly in the middle(top to bottom) of the tranny.Hence when flipped upside down that would offset the c.vs higher.I hope I'm right.

935's would be total overkill on a 1600 car. Most 12 cars don't even run them. 1600 cars run torsion bars so the mid engine idea is out.

bpthirteen...might be overkill, but your second answer is wrong. Torsion bars should have nothing to do with it. A 9 car can be mid-engine, and they run torsions.

I just think you would have a hard time putting the trans and motor in the right place because of the torsion housing.
