sorry for the rookie question but i just changed the spool on my millermatic 115 volt and when i went to lay a bead i wasnt getting any arc. I dont know what it can be, wire is being fed through the gun but when it comes into contact it with the metal it seems to slow down and it wont arc. someone please help me out

Same wire? or did you change the type ?? I.e. 70S6 vs. Flux Cored?

it sounds like the sleeve and new wire aren't the same size. Check the sleeve and make sure the wire is the right ize for that sleeve.

Yep check the wire drive wheels and make sure that you have the right size groove for the diameter wire that you are running. . .if you do, then try to tighten up the drive mechanism to get more friction betweene the drive wheels and the wire.
Make sure that the wire is actually seated in the groove in the drive wheels as well.
70S6 is solid wire and flux core is hollow wire with flux on the inside. . .I would say chances are pretty good you're using solid wire.
