I know that we're just coming off of the ORW Grand Prix (at least I am just coming down from it :D).

Well Doug left me a message today letting me know that he's out in the desert doing course recon for the November race....

THAT MEANS THE DRIVE VOLUNTEER TEAM STARTS ASSEMBLING NOW!!!!!!

The course hasn't been determined yet, but I already know that it's going to be LONG... That means we are really going to need each and every Volunteer Team member for this race.

It's the last race of our season, and Amy and I would really like to have EVERYONE on the DRIVE Volunteer Team out there with us :)

Let's make this last race something that will be our launching point for next season!

The temperature will be great, the course will be awesome (doug and larry won't let us down), and Amy and I will be putting together a bunch of cool things for the Volunteer Team :)

The clock is now officially ticking for the November race so please let us know if you can make it out for this schindig. As always it's going to be a great time and there is no better way to see a DRIVE race than to be part of it on the DRIVE Volunteer Team!!!!

We know that Doug and Larry are putting a ton of effort into making a great course and we want to put that same level of support behind them come race-day :)

There are alot of fast 1600 drivers entered for the Phantom Drive race on November 7th. REMEMBER there is a $1,000 dollar bonus for the class that has the most starters. First place gets 60%, 2nd gets 30%, and 3rd gets 10%. So if anyone thinks they are faster, get some more people to enter your class and get some money.

Sorry for being so quiet. I've been busy working and nursing a back injury at the same time. We've also been busy working on the schedule for next year. We got bumped in the BLM lottery on a key date but have been able to work it out with the promoter that won the draw. That's just the way it goes. We'll be releasing dates in a few more weeks at the most. The schedule will look very different from this year.

Everything is set for the Phantom 200. We made the choice to reduce the lap length down to about 22 - 23 miles. All East side and South of Wheeler Rd. Its no secrete that the entries are low and it didn't make sense to run a 50 mile loop. It will be a lot more fun for everyone with a shorter course and more laps. An e-mail went out to all the entries letting them know. We will save the 50 mile course for next year. Larry and I also put together a 60 miler, and a 70 + miler over the last few months so we have several to pick from for next year.

I really am looking forward to this race. We are having the awards ceremony Saturday night and it should be a lot of fun.

I want to thank you, Tim, and all the volunteers for putting the time, money, and effort into making these races happen.

The race is just about a week away!!!!

Thank you to everyone on this Volunteer Team roster. The majority of you have been with DRIVE from the beginning and I want to recognize each and every one of you for making DRIVE a reality. There is no off road racing without volunteers, and there is no DRIVE without the outstanding people (you) that make up the DRIVE Volunteer Team. This race will mark the end of our first season and the beginning of the DRIVE family’s journey with off road racing in Plaster City. Each one of you is a member of this family and the fact that we have made it to the end of this season is pretty incredible. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Also, a HUGE thank you to Brent Wright and Phantom Lighting for supporting DRIVE and helping us to put on another killer race. Like I have said before, when companies like Phantom Lighting decide to put their name behind DRIVE it lets us know that we are doing something right. When the OWNER of the company that title sponsors our race actually PARTICIPATES in the race…… well that is just about the coolest thing I can imagine (Brent Wright is racing in 1450!!!!!).

Thank you again to every volunteer and racer that believes in DRIVE and makes it out to the races. You are all a part of our family and we truly appreciate from the bottom of our hearts the energy and commitment that it takes for everyone to be a part of DRIVE.
