Add some weld where it ovaled, then drill it back to original size, then put a weld on washer on the outside of the hanger with a hole the exact size of the spring bolt. Should be stronger than it was to begin with.

this is just the quality of work that some big shop have. Looks like Im going to weld the rest up myself. funny I dont remember any discount for the 3/4 done welds.....

That might be good. I was thinking about sanding the sides flat and welding on a 4130 washer from camburg?? I will aslo be adding a tube from the top of the hanger to the frame..

Add a plate to support the outer side to help take some of the load--photo of jaime campbells truck-desert rides http://www.desertrides.com/photo/campbell7s/DSC02919.jpg

Kevin Davis' truck--desert rides also http://www.desertrides.com/photo/davis7s/DSC04094.jpg

If the rear springs you are running have the military wrap over the main leaf you will have to grind down the military wrap so it doesn't rub on the hanger we have the same problem on Kevin Davis' (DMS) 7s ranger. The last set of springs we got from deaver have a smaller widthe wrap and no longer rub at all.

Never thought of that but it does have a wrap and is pretty snug. Its a deaver 10 race pack for a ranger.

Also to get new bolts for the 3 holes springs/shacles should I go to ford? Or is there a better place to get them or a better material??

john: for the oval'd out problem, i think the best way to do it is drill it out, and weld a 1/2 inch long tube with a 9/16" ID. that spreads the load out better. the easier method it to weld a 9/16 washer on the outside.
im guessing from what im seeing that you are using rubber bushings? that is one of the reasons i personally am against rubber. with urethane bushings you can torque the bolt down all the way, and the urethane is still able to rotate freely. ive been trying to get racers to switch over, but for some reason, many are just stuck on their rubber.
the bolts are 9/16"X 4.5 or 5. it might not be a bad idea to go to a longer bolt and cut the excess so there are no threads sitting in the mount. any good hardware store has them, we have them if you want. i can set you up with some urethanes at the same time, if you want.

Sounds good maybe I swing by wed. and bring the springs and everything so I can get set up correctly. No point spending all the money on the big stuff if the little things are overlooked right....
